Ford is sticking to its forecasts for vehicle demand in the US market for this year despite the war against Iraq, the company’s president and chief operating officer said on Wednesday, according to a Reuters report.

“We are sticking to our (sales) forecasts of 16.5 million vehicles in the United States and 17.1 million vehicles in the European Union,” Ford’s Nick Scheele reportedly told journalists at a business conference.


He also said Ford had increased its stocks of components due to the war, Reuters said.
