Expedition SUV sales have reached the one million mark with Ford inviting the milestone vehicle’s buyer to take delivery during celebrations at the Michigan truck plant.
Jim Banks from Brea, California, was flown to Michigan especially for the event. He joined Ford executives to see the millionth Expedition come off the assembly line and join plant employees for lunch.
The Expedition, introduced in 1996 as a 1997 model, is the best-selling SUV in its segment – outselling its nearest competitor by more than 370,000 units over the last five years.
