Ford has matched GM and DaimlerChrysler by offering zero-percent financing for 36 months on several 2003 model year vehicles. There will also be cash rebates up to $2,000 on many models.

At the same time, Ford has also said it will continue its 2002 sell-down by offering 0% financing up to 60 months or cash rebates up to $3,500 on most models.

The new incentives will run from Sept. 6 through Sept. 30.

Ford is now offering 0% financing over 36 months and cash rebates up to $2,000 on the 2003 Ford Crown Victoria, Windstar, Taurus, Mustang, F-150, F-Series Super Duty and Excursion.

Last week GM and DC said they were extending 0% financing on certain 2003 models.

Sales increased about 13% last month on heavy discounting.
