Delphi Automotive Systems is uniquely positioned to offer comfort and convenience enhancements through its family of power products. “These products are another example of how Delphi is helping our customers differentiate their vehicles in the marketplace,” said James A. Bertrand, Delphi Interior Systems president. “They’re innovative, it’s exciting, and they are going to be in high demand in the market.”

The Delphi Power Liftgate is operated through an interior switch or remote keyless entry device. Its modular design saves the OEM assembly time and reduces handling costs. An innovative cinching mechanism ensures proper seal and lid fit each and every time.

The power sliding door revolutionized the North American minivan market with its introduction in 1993 and is now recognized as an industry standard for passenger van convenience. The technology is currently available on a number of major automakers’ vehicles. Delphi’s Power Sliding Door offers unprecedented ease of access. Simple activation of a remote keyless entry or any remote switch located within the vehicle’s interior will open or close the system, providing controlled opening, closing, reversibility, and remote activation. The door can also be operated manually at any time.

“Similar to North America, we see a clear trend in Europe toward power sliding doors in commercial and passenger vans,” said Bertrand. “We are continuing to work with several other European OEMs to introduce this product on their vehicles in the near future.”

Delphi’s Power Products are designed to give consumers a new level of convenience and safety and are easily incorporated into any vehicle’s design. Other products available include power adjustable pedals; rear compartment lids with automatic power opening and closing; and electronic sliding glass for rear window applications on pickup trucks.
