Delphi Corp. directors have named David Sherbin vice president and general counsel, effective immediately, as part of its plans “to address our legacy cost issues”.
Sherbin becomes a member of the component maker’s strategy board, the company’s top policy making group, and will report to chairman and CEO Steve Miller. Sherbin was vice president, general counsel and secretary for Pulte Homes in Michigan.
Delphi also named Logan Robinson vice president and special counsel – restructuring.
“We have made it clear over the past few months that it is essential for Delphi to address our legacy cost issues, particularly in the United States,” Miller said in a statement.
“As activities increase – either outside of, or within, a filing under [Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection] – we need increased support to address the complex legal issues ahead of us.”
