Covisint, nowadays a subsidiary of Compuware Corporation, plans to open an office in China to support its growing Asian business.  Located in Shanghai, China, the new office will include both sales and technical support staff.

“China is one of the most rapidly growing automotive markets, and as automotive companies ‘ramp up’ Asian operations to meet demands, a local Asian presence is a business requirement,” said Compuware Covisint president and CEO Bob Paul.

“The Shanghai office is a strategic extension of Covisint’s Asia Pac presence – which began in Japan – and demonstrates our commitment to providing global capabilities with local support.”

Heading up the China office is Yan Zhang, a native of Shanghai and an automotive and information technology veteran. He is responsible for sales and technical operations as well as strategic partnerships.

“Ke Wei Xun,” the Chinese pronunciation for Covisint, will be centrally located in the city.
