A US federal court reportedly said on Tuesday that the government should reimburse Ford for the cost of cleaning up chemical waste at a Michigan plant that built military aircraft during World War II.
The verdict from the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit reverses an earlier decision by a claims court, Reuters noted.
A Ford spokesman reportedly said he could not disclose the total payment the company was seeking from the government.
Reuters said Ford produced the B-24 Liberator bomber for the US government at the Willow Run plant in Ypsilanti during World War II, according to court documents.
