The performance of SUVs in emergency avoidance manoeuvres has come under close scrutiny in the United States recently and there has been pressure on vehicle makers to offer ESP more widely than at present.


Electronic Stability Programme is claimed to enhance driver control and help maintain directional stability under all conditions.


Chrysler currently offers ESP on the Chrysler Crossfire and 300, Dodge Magnum and Jeep Grand Cherokee.
