Chrysler has passed another Voyager milestone. After nearly 20 years of producing the MPV range, the 10 millionth example has rolled off the production line at Chrysler’s Windsor assembly plant in Ontario, Canada.

Chrysler said that it is a fantastic achievement for the car that created the people carrier market sector. Chrysler claims a number of firsts for the Voyager nameplate including:

First MPV to offer front-wheel drive (1984);

First to offer long wheelbase (1987);

First to offer centre high-mounted brake light (1991);

First fitted with driver’s airbag (1991);

First with power sliding doors and tailgate (2001)

In Europe, Voyager sales began in 1987 and in October 1991, the first Chrysler Voyager was built in Graz, Austria.
