e-ROAD Will Add Marketing Value to a Dealer’s Customer Database
Carabunga.com, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Newgen Results Corporation (NASDAQ: NWGN), today announced the implementation of a new, sophisticated data/marketing analysis process that will provide automotive dealers with a map of their customer base. Dubbed `e-ROAD,’ the tool will allow a dealer to access a database online to create one seamless tool for identifying a customer or group of customers and build predictive models to improve sales.
Carabunga.com is the only vortal (vertical portal to information and/or services related to a specific industry) created to address the direct marketing needs of the automotive industry.
“With e-ROAD, dealers will have a window into their customer databases, 24 hours a day,” said Jim Roche, President of Carabunga.com. “They will also be able to use data mining techniques to determine targeted lists of customers who are most suitable for a given promotion or other type of communication.”
Created in February 2000 as “the dealer’s one-to-one marketing vortal,” Carabunga.com will enable automotive dealers to query customer data from the Web site. After selecting criteria for generating a particular list of customers (for example, all 1996 Ford Taurus owners in a particular zip code with 50,000 miles on their vehicles), the dealer will be able to use other features of Carabunga.com to conduct a marketing campaign or promotion targeting that audience.
The dealer’s database will then be put through a data purification process prior to its usage. “Data will be cleansed to insure accuracy and deliverability,” said Roche. “The records will also be compared to information in the National Change of Address database. This process will save valuable marketing dollars that might otherwise be wasted.”
