Robert Bosch Corporation announced today it has been named 2004 Corporation of the Year – Commercial Products by the Michigan Minority Business Development Council (MMBDC). The award was announced during the MMBDC’s 21st Annual Awards Dinner at Cobo Center in Detroit.
Bosch said that since 2000, the company has spent more than $137 million with minority businesses through the company’s Corporate Supplier Diversity Program. Through August of this year, Bosch has spent $70 million with minority business enterprises.
In addition, Bosch has facilitated two successful joint ventures between the company’s prime suppliers and minority business enterprises.
“We are very honored and proud to be recognized by the MMBDC,” said Lee Manduzzi, executive vice president of sales for Bosch. “Our goal is to continue on the path of excellence and serve as a leader in the area of supplier diversity.”
