Auto Europe is reducing their car rental rates by 5% due to the strength of the US dollar in comparison with foreign currency. For example, as of May 4th, the German Deutsche Mark listed at 2.2 and the Italian Lira listed at 2,160 against the US Dollar. This means that US travelers will receive more value for their dollar.
“We forecast 2000 to be a banner year for European travel. In addition to the strengthening dollar, there are also an extraordinary number of special events occurring in Europe this year and we want to encourage travelers to book early for the best savings,” states Imad Khalidi, CEO and President.

In addition to rate reductions, travelers can also take advantage of early booking incentives with Auto Europe’s Memorial Day Sale.
These savings include discounts up to 15% off any European car rental in addition to a guaranteed free one-car class upgrade, from compact to intermediate, in Iceland and Israel. Free one-week cellular phone rentals are available with any one-week car rental.
Additionally, Auto Europe is offering a 20% discount off any Mercedes Benz, prestige or sports car rental in Europe. This offer applies to any Mercedes Benz including the C, E & S Series, Mercedes Benz Van or any prestige or sports car rental. Also included with the discount is a free cellular phone rental for the duration of the car rental.
Airfare and hotel reservations are also on sale with Auto Europe, with travelers receiving a 5% discount off any airfare plus a 10% discount off any hotel services booked online.
