Mitsubishi Raider – A rebadged midsize truck based on the Dakota. Mitsubishi claims lots of styling changes but ‘scoop’ photos suggest otherwise.


Saturn Sky – a new two-seat, rear-drive sports roadster.


Subaru B9 Tribeca – the brand’s first seven-passenger vehicle. Not a rebadged GM SUV, either.

Mercedes-Benz Grand Sports Tourer Vision B – first shown in Paris, a compact sports tourer with compact exterior dimensions but roomy inside.


Rolls-Royce 100EX – this experimental car from Rolls-Royce, the inspiration for a 2007 convertible, celebrates the marque’s centennial. Check out the revived ‘suicide’ doors.


The NAIAS 2005 expects to hose more than 35 press conferences by at least 60 auto manufacturers as well as elaborate multiple-tiered exhibits and 750,000 visitors during its three-week course.


Press preview says are Sunday, January 9 to Tuesday, January 11, 2005. Industry preview days are Wednesday and Thursday. The charity preview is Friday evening and the public, finally, are let loose from Saturday, January 15, to Sunday, January 23.
