ArvinMeritor Inc. reportedly said the US Patent Board of Appeals and Patent Interferences has ruled in its favour in a dispute with diversified manufacturer Eaton Corp. over an automatic truck transmission.

According to Reuters, ArvinMeritor, based in Troy, Michigan, and Germany’s ZF Friedrichshafen AG last December announced a joint venture to import the FreedomLine automated manual heavy truck transmission.
