Amerigon will equip the upcoming 2004 Cadillac XLR with its climate control seat (CCS) system.

The XLR, which is due in showrooms in spring 2003, is a luxury roadster featuring a retractable hardtop.

The CCS system is claimed to be the only option on the market that allows the driver and front seat passenger to heat and cool their seats individually.

The XLR will be the first application of CCS technology on a GM vehicle and the first time the system has appeared in a convertible.
