Volkswagen America’s CEO is taking a “cautious” view of US market development in 2013.
According to Reuters, Jonathan Browning said on a conference call he saw US sales in 2013 at around 15m vehicles.
While he didn’t expect to see the same level of growth in 2013 for the VW brand as the 35% rise in 2012, the rise would be faster than the industry rate.
VW sales received a major boost in the US when local production of a Passat designed primarily for the key market began production at a new plant in Tennessee.
