The US Treasury has provided another US$757m dollars to bankrupt Chrysler.

The payment, dated 20 May, was made public last night in the latest transactions report on the use of the 700bn Troubled Asset Relief Programme (TARP), a financial stability plan voted by Congress in October, according to Agence France-Presse (AFP).

The government has now provided $8.58bn to Chrysler Holding, before and after the 30 April bankruptcy filing.

The Treasury also loaned $1.5bn in January to Chrysler Financial Services.
