General Motors has said in a statement that it has received final offers for a stake in Opel/Vauxhall from three bidders.

It said it had requested that final offers for Opel/Vauxhall be submitted by the close of business on Monday, July 20.

The statement says that the final bids will now be ‘analysed and compared by GM’.

The final bids as well as GM’s preliminary findings will then be reviewed with the German and other impacted governments, the EU Commission and the Opel/Vauxhall Trust Board.

The three final bids are thought to be from Magna, RHJ International and Beijing Auto (BAIC).
