Subaru of America (SOA) has named Thomas Doll chief operating officer (COO).
He will continue in the executive vice president and CFO roles he has held with the US unit for 15 years. Last year, Subaru was the only volume brand in the country to post a sales increase and also boosted its market share to 1.9%, a 25-year record.
SOA chairman, president and chief executive officer Tomohiko Ikeda said: “The US is Subaru’s largest market worldwide and the position of chief operating officer is vital as we seek to continually improve the operations and processes of our US business.
“Tom understands SOA and its operations very well and I look forward to his contribution as he brings his experience to this new position.”
Doll joined SOA in 1982 from Arthur Young and Company.
