Ford had to cease production at its Dearborn truck plant on Monday due to a parts shortage.

According to the Detroit News, a supplier’s logistical problems left Ford with insufficient parts to make the F-series pickup truck line. The shortage also affected the automaker’s Kansas City assembly plant.

A spokesperson told the newspaper that the company would work short shifts at both facilities until shipments returned to normal.

Workers said they had been told not to report back to work until today (27 September).
