Kia Motors America (KMA) announced a major improvement to its Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) used car programme. It chose Carfax to provide vehicle history.
From 1 October 2011, Kia dealers were required to run a Carfax history report as part of the certification process for CPO vehicles.
The CPO programme is administered by one of the largest independent finance and insurance leaders, JM&A Group. A Carfax report is provided for used Kia-brand vehicles eligible for CPO certification, which have less than 60,000 miles and are no more than five model years old.
The Carfax buyback guarantee also comes with CPO vehicles that meet the requirements. This ensures each vehicle is free of DMV-reported title brands or Carfax will buy the car back.
