Just over 104,000 vehicles made by Tata Motors’ Jaguar Land Rover are being recalled in the US for three different faults.
The largest campaign affects 74,648 2006-2012 Land Rover Range Rover vehicles manufactured from 15 April, 2005 to 4 September, 2012. One or both of the flexible front brake hoses may rupture causing loss of brake fluid.
Dealers will check and replace hoses as necessary.
Also coming back are 24,679 2013-2014 Land Rover Range Rover vehicles made between 16 August, 2012 and 8 January, 2014, plus 2014 Range Rover Sport vehicles manufactured between 7 May, 2013 and 8 January, 2014. These may have an incorrectly routed brake vacuum hose which may may have been damaged as a result.
A ruptured hose would reduce brake assistance and lengthen stopping distance.
Dealers will inspect, re-route and/or replace the hose as needed.
