Johan De Nysschen has resigned from his position as president of Infiniti and looks set to take over as global head of GM’s Cadillac brand.
De Nysschen resigned today as head of Nissan’s luxury Infiniti brand after two years in the job. GM has also just announced that Robert Ferguson, Cadillac’s global head, has moved to take over public policy for GM – thus creating space for De Nysschen to move to the top job at Cadillac.
Prior to Infiniti, De Nysschen headed up Audi’s US sales unit.
Media reports suggest that Andy Palmer, Nissan’s chief planning officer, will oversee the Infiniti business ahead of a successor to De Nysschen being appointed.
