Honda is recalling around 50,000 2012 model year Civics in the United States to check for a potential driveshaft assembly problem that could lead to loss of engine power.
The company said it would inspect and, if needed, replace the driveshaft that may not have been properly assembled. The car also could roll away if the parking brake has not been set.
Honda added that no crashes or injuries have been reported related to the issue and mailed notification of the recall will begin in late June.
