Hitachi Automotive Systems is supplying Nissan Motor with the high-output lithium-ion battery pack used in the X-Trail Hybrid launched in May by Nissan.

The lithium-ion battery pack used in the X-Trail Hybrid comprises a battery module that houses the cylindrical battery cells and a Battery Management System (BMS).

The battery cells manufactured by Hitachi Vehicle Energy are assembled into battery packs at the Kentucky Plant of Hitachi Automotive Systems Americas.

Hitachi Automotive Systems says it will continue to contribute to the evolution of electric vehicles through the strengthening of electric powertrain products.
