General Motors’ ignition swith compensation fund has now received 2,818 claims but paid out only on 121, the administrator’s latest statement shows.
Of 121 successful claims, 49 related to deaths, 7 to very serious injuries and 65 to less serious injury.

Of claims ruled ineligible, 49 were related to death and 271 to injury.
Another 757 deemed ‘deficient’ require more supporting evidence, 857 are under review and a further 763 were submitted with no documents.
