General Motors (GM) has broken ground for a US$380m expansion to its Wentzville Assembly factory to accommodate production of the new Chevrolet Colorado midsize pick-up, creating or retaining about 1,260 jobs hourly and salaried jobs.

Wentzville is also home to the Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana cargo and passenger vans.
