Ford is recalling 33,256 vehicles, including the 2010 Ford Explorer, 2010 Ford Fusion, 2010 Ford Explorer Sport Trac, 2010 Mercury Milan and 2010 Mercury Mountaineer, to fix defective front seat manual recliners, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

“In the event of a crash, the seatback and head restraint may move rearward, increasing the risk of injury,” said NHTSA in its recalls summary of the problem.

In other documentation filed with the federal government, Ford said that “as of April 14, there are no known reports of accidents or injuries related to this condition.
