Ford Motor Company has added an extra US$500 to $1000 in rebates on F-series pick-up trucks on sale in the US.

The boosted incentives means total discounts on the vehicles are now between $4,000 and $4,500 as the firm aims to shift 900,000 F-series vehicles in 2006, the BBC News website said.
Ford US did not immediately return calls seeking comment today (26 July).
