Luxury electric vehicle (EV) maker Fisker Automotive has appointed Jim Yost as chief financial officer.

Well-known in the automotive industry with more than 30 years of global experience, Yost was most recently executive vice president and CFO of supplier and chassis frame specialist Dana Holdings from 2008 to the end of May 2012.

Yost began his career at Ford where, over 27 years, he served in several senior and executive level finance roles in North America, Europe and South America including as the company’s chief information officer and vice president of corporate strategy. Shortly after retiring from Ford in 2001, Yost joined Hayes Lemmerz, working as EVP, CFO, from 2002 to 2008.

At Fisker, Yost will report to chief executive officer Tom LaSorda (once a top Chrysler executive) and will also work closely with executive chairman Henrik Fisker.
