Elena Ford, great-great-granddaughter of found Henry Ford, has been appointed as Ford’s director of global marketing, sales and service operations, effective February 1.
Ms Ford, 42, previously served as executive vice president for Ford Motor Credit and previously worked in a number of roles within Ford, having joined the company in 1995.
In her new role she will report to Jim Farley, Ford’s group vice president of marketing and communications.
“Elena brings a wealth of experience to the new position and is the ideal leader to drive a coordinated approach for our worldwide marketing efforts,” Farley said in a statement.
