Delphi has named Thomas Timko, 38, as chief accounting officer (CAO).
Prior to joining the components maker, Timko was an assistant controller for the Interpublic group of companies (IPG), a group of advertising agencies and marketing service companies, based in New York.
Timko will report to Bob Dellinger, Delphi chief financial officer.
“Tom’s energy, along with his rich experience and extensive knowledge in financial accounting, will be integral to Delphi as we continue our reorganisation process, while addressing our internal control deficiencies and implementing a shared services environment,” said Dellinger.
“As CAO, Tom will work closely with the corporate and divisional finance teams, internal audit, tax and treasury staffs to ensure adherence to the highest level of accounting and ethical standards.”
