Chrysler group sales outside North America increased 20% to 17,393 units in October, marking 17 consecutive months of year-over-year sales gains.
All regions saw sales increases last month, with western and central Europe increasing sales by 22%.
Year-to-date, sales increased 14% to 167,180 units, making it the best January through October since 1997.
Jeep sales (69,064 units) were steady compared with last year while Chrysler sales were up 9% to 75,355 units sold. Dodge, newly launched in Europe, reached 22,761 units and accounted for roughly 14% of 2006 sales outside North America, compared with roughly 6% in 2005.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee (3,329 units) was the highest volume vehicle last month, followed by the Chrysler Voyager and 300C, Jeep Cherokee (Liberty) and Dodge Caliber.

The UK, the largest-volume market outside North America, is up 36% for the year, with 17,058 units sold to the end of October. It was followed by Italy (up 12%), Germany (up 14%), Venezuela (up 36%) and Spain (up 41%). Though ranked as number five, Spain in the fastest growing Chrysler market in western Europe this year.
Sales outside North America currently account for approximately 7% of the company’s total global sales.
