General Motors has announced senior management changes. Cathy Clegg becomes the company’s new vice president of Global Manufacturing Engineering, replacing Eric Stevens who has chosen to retire after 35 years with GM.
Clegg will have manufacturing engineering responsibilities for automotive press, body, paint, assembly, controls, powertrain and global programme management.
In other news, Jim Glynn has become GM North America labour relations vice president, effective immediately. He will be responsible for union-management partnerships, leading joint programmes and negotiations, and other key matters involving union-represented workers.
Glynn steps into his role from his now former position as Manufacturing Manager for GM North America, in which he was responsible for 10 vehicle assembly, powertrain, metal stamping and battery assembly plants.
