General Motors has expanded a 2014 headlight recall to include another 180,000 vehicles in the US and Canada.
The expanded recall includes 21,000 units of 2015 Buick Allures in Canada and 159,584 units of 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix and 2005 Buick LaCrosse vehicles in the US.
The automaker’s 2014 recall affected 316,000 vehicles, which included 2006-2008 Isuzu Ascender and Saab 9-7X, 2006 GMC Envoy XL and Trailblazer EXT, 2006-2007 Buick Rainier, GMC Envoy and Chevrolet Trailblazer and 2006-2009 LaCrosse.
In the affected vehicles, the low beam headlamps could be lost intermittently or permanently, AutoGuide.com reported.
Until a permanent solution is available, company dealers will put a new headlamp module in place of the existing one.
There have not been any reports of crashes or injuries due to the issue.
