Scottish national Tom Purves has been named CEO of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, returning to the automaker where he began his automotive career as an apprentice engineer from his current post as chairman and CEO of BMW (US) Holding.
Purves was sales and marketing director of the Rover Group under BMW ownership and was also once a managing director of BMW (UK).
A more recent BMW UK chief, Jim O’Donnell, take over as chairman and CEO of BMW (US) Holding from 1 July. He is currently president of BMW of North America and will also serve as chairman of BMW NA’s management board and as the regional manager for US, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina.
Tom Kowaleski has been named vice president of corporate communications for BMW of North America after experience with Daimler, Chrysler and GM. He is currently president of communications consultancy ACTK2.
Tom Salkowsky has been named manager, BMW corporate communications for BMW of North America from 1 May. He is a 12-year veteran with BMW of North America.
