Output from Ukraine’s Lutsk Automobile Plant, or LuAZ, which is controlled by the Bogdan Corporation, soared 74.3% year on year to 25,768 units in January-July, the corporation said on Wednesday.

July output rose 8.6% month on month to 2,861 units, the Prime-Tass news agency reported.


Car output is expected to increase 29% year on year to 39,600 units this year, according to earlier reports. Last year, LuAZ’ car output rose 40.3% to 30,768 units.


LuAZ assembles foreign cars and sports utility vehicles (SUVs) including VAZ, UAZ, and Isuzu, as well as Bogdan-designed buses.


Bogdan Corporation, the auto division of Ukraine’s Ukrprominvest group, comprises 20 companies, including Cherkassky Bus and the Bogdan Bus Plant, Prime-Tass noted.
