Toyota GB has added a ‘MyToyota’ section to its consumer website, allowing owners to “manage” their vehicle online.

The section, similar to that offered by other automakers in the UK, tracks vehicle history and can provide automatic reminders for key dates, such as servicing and MoT testing [the annual safety and emissions check], by text or email.

Users can select a preferred dealer and gain faster access to online service bookings. Recognising each vehicle by its registration [tag] number, MyToyota will retrieve specification and full service history. It will also indicate which accessories are available if owners want to upgrade their car.

Signing up is free and multiple vehicles can be registered to the same user account.

Registration is encouraged by incentives such as offers and discounts from holiday and event companies.
