Peugeot’s UK operation now has 123 of its 320 dealerships established as ‘Peugeot Business Centres’, specialising in light commercial vehicle and fleets.
In 2004 the automaker had a 4.94% share of the UK LCV market, with sales growing by 0.35% in a segment that actually saw a decline in overall sales of 2.8%. By the end of March this year to date, it had increased its market share by 0.96% to 5.99%, with sales growing 17.86%.
The business centres provide customers with a ‘one-stop-shop’ service, which Peugeot says is especially useful if a company needs a particular vehicle converted or adapted for commercial use.
Customers can also get financial advice, try demonstration vehicles and receive specialist after sales support.
Standard vehicle modifications readily available include built-in cages for carrying equipment, specialist shelving and racking, and mobile office conversion.
