Subaru’s British importer IM Group has relocated the brand’s distribution centre close to the port of Sheerness.

The move will create eight new jobs on the 28.3 acre site which will be fully occupied by mid-June and can accommodate up to 6,000 vehicles.

Subaru’s previous facility in Quedgeley, Gloucestershire, was limited to 2,500 cars. More efficient dealer deliveries are one of several anticipated benefits.

To the end of April Subaru sales this year were up 14.01% – in a two-million-a-year market.
