Body-in-white specialist Stadco has won a new contract from Shropshire-based Ingimex, specialist designers and volume manufacturers of light commercial vehicle bodies, body components and kit construction units.
Stadco said the contract was secured thanks to significant investment at its paint shop facility in Coventry earlier in 2007.
The investment switched to the next generation Powercron 6200 cationic epoxy electrocoat, enabling the company to coat all components going through the facility with black paint, increasingly the colour of choice for OEM customers and component manufacturers.
The long term contract will see black ecoat paint on a variety of bodies supplied by Ingimex to the Coventy site. Ingimex provides specialist services to many OEMs including Ford, Iveco, Renault, Vauxhall and Volkswagen.
Stadco also recently won a contract with Marshall Specialist Vehicles to process and apply paint to the large vehicle cargo bed for the new MAN logistics support vehicle for the ministry of defence.
