UK retail group GUS is reportedly considering a bid for EurotaxGlass’s – the publisher of Glass’s car dealer guides.

GUS, owner of the nationwide Argos catalogue and Homebase DIY store chains, has asked investment bank UBS for financial advice on a potential £340m bid for EurotaxGlass’s, according to the Daily Telegraph.

GUS did not deny any plans to purchase EurotaxGlass’s but its spokesman would not comment to just-auto on what he called “market speculation”.

EurotaxGlass’s spokesperson Peter Cox would neither confirm nor deny the newspaper’s report.
