Perodua UK has followed the recent launch of its new Malaysian-built, Daihatsu-based Kelisa city car by promoting Tim Slaughter from general manager to managing director.
The niche market importer has also recently appointed a new aftersales manager and plans to add more operational and dealer support staff.
Parts distribution operations are moving to a new dedicated warehouse and, following earlier supply problems, dealers now have healthier stocks of new cars.
The UK Perodua dealer network currently numbers just 34 outlets (serving a population of 58 million) though six more will be added next month. More dealer appointments are planned for later this year.
