Ford has contracted Penske Logistics to provide material planning and handling services at its Southampton, UK facility that produces approximately 80,000 Transit vans annually.

“Penske Logistics and Ford have a longstanding, successful relationship in the US,” said Erik van Egmond, managing director – Penske Logistics Europe, announcing the deal on Monday. “We are very pleased to now be working with Ford Motor Company in Europe and we welcome into the Penske family the highly capable employees joining us from their previous contractor.”
Penske Logistics officially began material planning and handling operations at the Southampton facility on 28 October last year, assuming responsibility for employing the facility’s existing workforce.
