Mitsubishi has cut British retail prices for the second time in a year while Nissan
has announced reductions of up to 13.2%.
Having left prices of the then-new Shogun [Pajero] SUV range untouched last
time, the UK importer has now slashed up to £3,500 off these models giving
an average cut of 12%.
Prices of the newly-introduced five-door Shogun Pinin [Pagero iO] have also
been reduced by up to £1,005 and the three-door range now starts £1,500
lower.
Mitsubishi has also knocked several hundred pounds off some Colt and Space
Star models.
Meanwhile, Nissan, the last volume maker in the UK to hold out against industry-wide
price reductions, said it will cut its prices on 1 January 2001 by as much as
13.2 per cent.
