DaimlerChrysler UK has appointed Peter Lambert as managing director of Chrysler Group in the UK, succeeding Simon Elliott, who took over a new role in China at the end of March.
Lambert is responsible for all sales and marketing activities for the Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge brands in the UK.
Lambert (49) joined what was then Mercedes-Benz (UK) in 1996 as fleet operations manager in the truck & van division and was promoted to general manager sales operations three years later.
In September 2000, following the creation of separate van and truck business units, he took on his previous role as director van sales & marketing.
His career before joining DaimlerChrysler saw him in a variety of roles within the motor industry, with Ford Motor Credit Company, Trafford Vehicle Leasing and Toyota (GB), where he was national corporate sales manager.
