A new Punto Van, together with the Fiat Doblò Cargo – an entirely new and versatile LCV – will be making their UK public debuts at the British International Motor Show in October, prior to going on sale in this country early next year.
The new Punto Van, based on the latest Punto hatchback, will be represented on the stand, in left-hand drive form, by a 60bhp 1.9D version. A 1.2 petrol version, with the same power output as the diesel, will complement the new Punto Van range in the UK. Both versions have electronic power steering and a driver’s airbag as standard equipment.
The new Doblò Cargo will become available here from early next year. Two examples, both left-hand drive, will be on display with 1.2 petrol and 1.9D engines respectively.
Three versions of the Fiat Ducato and two versions of the Fiat Scudo will complete the stand line-up. Changes to the Ducato’s exterior include all-metal rear doors for better load security, with glazed doors as a no-cost option. Reinforced rear
bumpers incorporate a step for easier access to the load area, and an offside sliding door is available as an option on some versions. A new 2.8 JTD engine, using common rail technology, provides both increased power and torque over the previous engine, with a reduction in fuel consumption and emissions.
Also on the stand is the Fiat Scudo Combi, which can seat either five or six people and carry a load at the rear of up to 460kg.
