A new Saab parts and service organisation has been set up in the UK following the placing into administration last November of Saab GB which operated through a 58-strong dealer network across Britain of which 20 were ‘Saab only’ sites.
Saab Automobile Parts UK, trading as Saab Parts UK, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Saab Automobile Parts AB, and commenced trading here on the 1 January, 2012 providing on-going supply of genuine parts and service packages.
The firm operates through an established network of 87 Saab authorised repairers across the UK and said parts supply continues to operate as normal.
It said about 200 ‘last build’ new vehicles are also still available through the dealer network “at very competitive prices”.
Saab AA Roadside Assistance remains in place and active for all Saabs registered new in the UK before 29 November, 2011 and this covers the vehicles for three years.
Saab Parts UK in collaboration with the repairer network is continuing to offer the Saab Service Club to owners. It has about 15,000 members and is now being extended to all Saab drivers irrespective of vehicle age. The loyalty scheme is free to join and provides benefits like free visual health checks and discounts on parts, servicing and accessories.
Corin Richards, managing director, said: “Following the sad demise of Saab Great Britain at the end of last year, Saab Parts UK was set up to continue to provide a parts and customer care facility for the 188,000 cars that are on UK roads.”
“Owners can be reassured that their vehicle will still be looked after by experienced and trained technicians and only genuine parts will be used.”
