The head of British engineering group GKN’s automotive division has resigned, according to Reuters.

GKN automotive group managing director Ian Griffiths would step down on 31 January next year to head another company, GKN reportedly said in a statement.

Reuters noted that Griffiths was appointed to the position in October last year when the company, which makes automotive and aeronautical parts, reorganised its business structure following the sale of its 50% stake in helicopter maker AgustaWestland.
