Škoda Auto has released today, 21 September, the first official photograph of its latest car, the brand new Fabia estate. The design look, achieved through streamlined contours and rounded tailgate, achieves the overall look of a hatchback rather than that of a classic estate car. Only one year on from the world premiere of the now famous Fabia hatchback, the new Fabia estate is set to pave the way for a new sector of small lifestyle estate cars.
The wheelbase remains the same as that of the hatchback at 2462mm, but it is 262mm longer, providing valuable extra luggage space, bringing the total length to 4222mm. The other dimensions remain the same as the hatchback, 1646mm wide and 1451mm high.

The new Fabia estate makes its world debut at the Paris Motor Show at the end of September, and its UK debut at the British International Motor Show in October. The fabulous new estate, sharing all the Fabia hatchback’s build quality, technical innovation and stunning design, will be first seen on British shores in March 2001.
